Your safety is our top priority. Plaitonic follows strict health and safety procedures to ensure all services are delivered in line with insurance, manufacturer, and legal requirements.
1. Mandatory Patch Testing
- A skin allergy (patch) test is required at least 48 hours before any colour, lightening, toner, or chemical service.
- Tests must be carried out in the salon.
- Without a valid patch test, services cannot be performed under any circumstances.
2. Validity of Patch Tests
- Patch tests are valid for 6 months, unless:
- You develop new medical conditions,
- You have had a tattoo, henna, or permanent makeup,
- You are taking new medication, or
- You have experienced illness that may affect your immune response.
- You develop new medical conditions,
- A new patch test will be required if any of the above apply.
3. Client Responsibility
- Clients must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, medications, and past reactions before their service.
- Failure to disclose relevant information may result in service refusal.
4. Safety During Services
- If any signs of irritation or discomfort occur during a service, treatment will be stopped immediately and assessed.
- For health and safety reasons, children under 16 cannot receive chemical services.
5. General Safety in Salon
- Clients must follow all health and safety guidance while on premises, including hygiene protocols and staff instructions.
- The salon maintains a safe, clean, and compliant environment at all times, in line with COSHH, insurance, and local authority regulations.
